Why did you accept the position as CEO for VPS?
First and foremost, I have taken a great interest in the Norwegian capital market throughout my entire career. Most of the positions that I have held, have been closely related to developments in this market. And now, the market is changing faster than ever due to common European legislation and technological innovation. This contributes to a challenging and exciting situation both for VPS and the Oslo Børs VPS group. VPS is additionally an important, well organised and profitable company.

Going forward, where will your main focus be?
Of course, I want to get to know the VPS employees as quickly as possible. I will therefore be “speed dating” all employees for the next two to three weeks. Then, getting acquainted with customers and business associates will have my full attention, while also having to get familiar with the different business areas and operations in general.

What is the greatest strength of VPS?
VPS has a competent and responsible organisation with great confidence in the Nordic markets.

What are the main challenges that VPS is facing?
I see the increasing challenges in the market related to technological innovation, economies of scale and, above all, the increasing competition.

What makes a day a “good day at work”?
For me, customer experiences, such as winning contracts or developing a good customer concept make my day. Certainly, teamwork and real efforts that result in reaching our goals, are both an inspiration.
