The CPSS-IOSCO Principles was decided on in 2012 and Norges Bank (the Central Bank of Norway) instructed VPS to undertake an evaluation of activities in relation to the new CPSS-IOSCO Principles. Both Norges Bank and Finanstilsynet (the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway)have participated actively in the work. Norges Bank considers the principles broadly observed (which is consistent with VPS’s self assessment report) and presents details thereto in their Financial Infrastructure Report 2014 on pages 28 and 29.
Our experience is that it is important to our customers that the financial infrastructure complies with international standards. VPS therefore considers it important to be compliant with the CPSS-IOSCO Principles.
