Customer focus – always important

We are in the middle of one of the busiest seasons for many of our customers. Annual general meetings must be arranged and dividends are payable to shareholders. Here at VPS the Issuer department is responsible for the solutions and they also sometimes tailor the practical work to ensure everything goes smoothly. The department behind this work is presented with a separate article and you can read more about it here in the newsletter.

Automation of mutual funds order routing between the Nordic countries and the central European fund markets, has been a strategic goal at VPS for quite some time. We are therefore proud to announce that we have entered into an agreement on Nordic order routing with Clearstream. The agreement will give Nordic distributors easier access to Clearstream’s more than 150,000 mutual funds.

As you may know, in late 2014, VPS signed an agreement with Percival on the delivery of a new core system. Unfortunately, Percival did not manage give us a satisfactory delivery in relation to technical requirements, and they did not succeeded in rectifying identified shortcomings. The VPS Board of Directors therefore decided to cancel the agreement with Percival. This does not imply that we will close the renewal programme, VPS 2.0. On the contrary, we will work hard to renew the existing solutions and we will i.a. be implementing up-to-date system solutions to standardize ISO messaging communication.

Customer focus is very important for us.
In connection with the renewal programme, VPS 2.0, we have put the issue up on the agenda when we initiated a project which objective is to improve the customer experience and which aims at turning the whole organisation into a more customer oriented organisation. Although last year’s customer survey showed that the customers are satisfied with our service when giving us a score of 4.1 out of a total of 5, we want to ensure that VPS also in the future continues to be an attractive partner for our customers.

The quality of VPS’ daily operations has been very good so far this year. The systems are stable and the precision of our deliveries is high. It is important for us to ensure that customers are satisfied, and quality deliveries are one of the things we are actively working with in order to achieve that.
