VPS 2.0 – status as of August 2015

The project is proceeding according to plan. The basic framework of our new system has been received from the vendor and is currently being tested here at VPS. With this, we have reached a very important milestone of the new core project. Shortly we will move on to a new project phase; the Customisation phase.

Specifications of changes to the ISO messages (15022 and 20022) were published on 30 June (ISO 20022 for investor, ISO 15022 for settlement and workflows for corporate actions). The remaining specifications will be published later this autumn.

 

Connectivity testing

The preliminary test plan is divided into four main phases:

  • Connectivity testing
  • Testing of format
  • Testing of functionality
  • Market Wide Acceptance Test

The purpose of the connectivity test is for customers to ascertain that they will be able to connect (e.g. MQ and firewalls) to the new VPS infrastructure. The connectivity test has started and customers will be connected when queues and other customer specific configuration is ready for testing.
