In the initial phase of the project, we have already had one wave of customer meetings and we are currently well into wave 2 which focuses on customers’ own plans for readiness before launching in 2017. The objective of these meetings is to ensure that all customers are given the necessary information and given the opportunity to ask questions with respect to the renewal programme.
Customers’ connectivity testing
All changes to the interfaces will naturally have to be tested well ahead of the start-up date of the new core system. VPS has therefore prepared 4 phases of testing involving the customers. We have already started testing and we are well underway with the connectivity tests. We have now two main objectives; to migrate MQ traffic over to the new MQ infrastructure and to prepare the connectivity for the new core system. And it is of critical importance that all our customers have migrated their MQ traffic by 30 April 2016. After this date, the current MQ infrastructure will not function. The next main testing phase will be the Customer Format Tests, which we expect to start in November 2015.
