These figures are used by the Tax Administration to pre-populate the Tax Return. The purpose of the annual statement sent by VPS to all the VPS account holders, is to check and confirm the figures of the Tax Report. Although most of the Tax Return information is pre-populated, it is important to be aware that some information may be missing. This may, for instance, be figures related to securities registered abroad.
Therefore, keep the annual statement that you have received from VPS, and I hope that you remembered to check that the pre-populated information on the Tax Return is correct.
We are actively working offer a service for the new Share Savings Account. We delivered the initial functionality already on March 29, and the next delivery will take place in June. The Consultation Paper issued by the Ministry of Finance is fully in line with our expectations, so we do not foresee major changes after the consultation deadline expired on 12 May. In the press release, issued on 6 April 2017, we announced that VPS is combining its Fund Services business area with its subsidiary company Evolution. Only the activites that do not require official authorisation will be separated from VPS and merged with VPS’s Swedish subsidiary, Evolution Software Sweden AB. The company will change its name to Centevo AB, which will become one of the Nordic region’s leading players in this market. The transaction itself is scheduled for 1 September 2017, and the objective is to further strengthen this position.
